The Vashon Seals Swim Team Winter 2011 session
Registration for the Spring 2011 swim season will open March 30 at the Vashon Park District office beginning at 8:00am. New swimmers are required to attend a placement tryout where the swimmers abilities are evaluated by the Coach. This is necessary so the swimmer is placed in the appropriate level. Placement tryouts for 10yr olds and younger will be held on Tuesday, March 29 between 4:00 - 5:45pm, and for 11yrs and older on Monday, March 28 between 4:00 - 6:00pm. All tryouts are held at the Vashon Aquatic Club pool. Come check out the program!

Every bit the trudge as forecasted against undermanned Arizona State, Washington rode Tony Wroten's 22 points to win its second road game this season, 60-54, Thursday night in Tempe.
The Huskies, a poor free throw shooting team, hit 12 of their final 15 shots from the line to hold off the Sun Devils, who hung in despite he absence of Trent Lockett, their best player who missed his third consecutive game with an ankle injury.

While it seems as if the Mariners did next to nothing this off-season to fix a team that lost 95 games, that's not the way to look at it.
They saved $214 million by not signing free agent Prince Fielder.
