- Unlucky 13: Mariners walk 13 in 13-12 loss to Texas
- ARLINGTON, Texas – Brandon Morrow was dominating. His fastball was 98 mph, his slider had just enough movement to keep hitters honest and he even showed a good change-up or two as he was carved his way through the Texas batting order, striking out the first four Rangers he faced, and needing just 17 pitches to do so.
- Communication issues plague Mariners
- ARLINGTON, Texas – It seems that communication, or lack thereof, was the recurring theme to start the Mariners’ three-game series with the Texas Rangers.
- Bavasi era, five years in the making, looks like a failure
- Bill Bavasi is in his fifth season as general manager of the Seattle Mariners. So he has been given sufficient time to produce a winner.
- Test at state tournament looming for Puyallup soccer team
- Through all the soccer victories this season, the Puyallup boys kept their heads level. Winning the South Puget Sound League championship and claiming the Class 4A West Central District’s top seed didn’t bring out any arrogance. Now, with the team about to make school history with its first appearance in the state tournament, coach Matt White doesn’t expect the Vikings’ demeanor to change.
- Rainiers newcomer Diaz gets into the swing
- OMAHA, Neb. – It took four games for new Tacoma Rainiers slugger Victor Diaz to shake off the rust.

- Rangers rally to beat Mariners 13-12 in 10 innings
- The only real fireworks between Texas and Seattle this time were the pyrotechnic displays after back-to-back home runs by Josh Hamilton and Milton Bradley, and then the 10th-inning game-winning shot by Ramon Vazquez as the Rangers rallied for a 13-12 victory Monday night.
- Woods says is rehab is going well

- Garcia claims Players Championship

- Former Zag Turiaf tossed from NBA playoff game
- Lakers forward Ronny Turiaf was ejected for a flagrant foul yesterday in the second quarter of Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Utah Jazz.
